The double keel suspended floor adopts a supporting framework built with two layers of keels. Different from single-keel structures, this layered design distributes loads separately and delivers enhanced structural stability. The system consists of matching keels, support pedestals and floor panels. Pedestals rest directly on the base floor. The lower keels bear vertical loads while upper keels hold floor panels. Loads transfer and spread step by step to reduce risks of local deformation.
A continuous underfloor cavity can be reserved after installation. It accommodates cables, weak-current pipelines and ventilation ducts, making later inspection and pipeline expansion convenient. It is widely applied in data rooms, monitoring centers, laboratories, office machine rooms and other indoor spaces with heavy pipeline layout demands. Keel components are made of steel with surface protection treatment to mitigate rusting caused by ambient moisture. Panels form even bearing surfaces. After laying, panel joints stay neat with limited wobble under foot traffic.
During installation, support pedestals can be adjusted to match height differences of base floors. Major ground leveling work on original substrate is not required, which shortens on-site construction time. For maintenance, single panels can be lifted directly to access underfloor pipelines without removing large floor areas. The system has moderate self-weight and will not impose excessive load on building slabs.
The floor system shall be used within specified load limits and is not suitable for long-term concentrated placement of heavy machinery. Individual supporting parts can be replaced separately. When partial damage occurs, only defective components need replacement instead of the whole floor system. Balancing cable management, ground leveling and easy maintenance, it serves as a practical flooring solution for spaces dense with mechanical and electrical pipelines.
